FinCEN Launches New Search Engine for More Accurate and Robust Search Capabilities

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has launched a new search engine that will deliver more accurate and robust search capabilities to users. The new search engine, which was chosen by the contractor FinCEN selected to do this work, will deliver faster search results and allow users to search through more than 220 file types, including forms and regulations. Users will also have the capability to sort results by relevancy or date and the option to fine tune searches for all materials on the www.fincen.gov and www.msb.gov websites. Another highlight of the new search engine is a key word matching function which provides highlighted results at the top of the search results. The key word matching function ensures that the "best bet" page for a search term will appear at the top of the list of search results.
